Own and function as the subject matter expert for specified product segments and/or channels, identify opportunities, build solutions, and influence buying habits to guarantee CITGO's long-term market share. Help develop the company's overall strategy through proper market position with the product, promotion, price, and brand support. Recommend market trajectory for current and future products by analyzing market reports, understanding the competition, and performing field research including Voice of the Customer. Define the product vision and work closely with Technology, Manufacturing, Sales, Brand Development, Pricing, Senior Sector Managers, vendors and other support personnel to implement. Owns development of sales enablement tools for assigned areas which could include sector specific contests or promotions. Identification, definition and go-to-market strategy for key segments such as on highway, off highway, grease, industrial and agriculture. Own identification of new channels or product lines, or service expansion opportunities outside of traditional lubricants and greases. Identify and develop offers for key sub-segments within our focus areas. Advise on ways to further leverage our marketing capabilities through the channels. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of sales, marketing or related experience required. Strong knowledge in sales, production, distribution, product development, and B 2 B & B 2 C marketing strategies, Knowledgeable of company financial/operational processes and strategies. Proven decision-making abilities. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint Job Duties . Ensure proper market position through appropriate brand support based upon market strategy and category needs. The Product Manager is responsible for guaranteeing that our customers and salesforce have the necessary tools to achieve their sales goals and deliver on end-user expectations by working with Brand, Internal Communications, and our agency of record Recommends a company-wide and sector or channel specific go-to-market plan and, after approval, works with all relevant departments to execute it. Influence and motivate internal stakeholders towards common goals on product project management—continuous measurement and communication of agreed upon KPIs. Complete sector or channel go to market strategy by continuously analyzing sales metrics, market research, and field intelligence, recommending market trajectory for current and future products. Develop a long-term product positioning strategy needed to meet customer needs. Evaluate potential service or adjacent opportunities for the CITGO lubricants business The Product Manager is accountable for the overall profitability of their product lines and sectors or channels. Maintains a sound understanding of pricing within product categories and recommends holistic pricing strategies within industry segments based upon customers' willingness to pay, product position, and competition. Recommend changes in market position based upon leading and lagging indicators. Increase awareness of relevant product and category subject matter by assisting in developing and delivering sales and technical training. Platforms for knowledge delivery include webinars, technical resource institute training, tradeshows, collateral creation, customer meetings, and prospect visits Work with the content manager and communications team to ensure accuracy of web properties, literature, and other collateral containing assigned product lines and categories.
