Emerson-Williams Elementary School is seeking a motivated and dedicated professional to serve as our Grade 2 Teacher to fill an opening. The position is vital to our school as the staff member has regular and influential interaction with students, staff and parents/families. This role will be filled immediately. Position: Grade 2 Teacher. School: Emerson-Williams Elementary School. Reports To: Building Principal. Start Date: 8/17/2026 Compensation: $57,847-$114,618 (full-time annual)Application Date: Posting will remain open until filled. Duties & Responsibilities:Partner with colleagues to plan, create and deliver daily lesson plans;Provide instruction (individually and in groups) using a variety of teaching methods to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and varying needs/interests;Prepare materials for classroom activities;Observe, assess and communicate student progress (academic, behavioral, social, physical. Manage classroom behavior and employ positive behavior practices to drive culture/climate;Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring additional support;Explore and deliver creative class experiential activities;Actively participate in wide variety of school day and extracurricular events as planned, including activities centered around professional development;Responsibly fulfill additional duties as assigned. Qualifications:Minimum of a Bachelor\s Degree;Appropriate CT Certification credentials are preferred, but not required;Background, experience.
