The Grant Funded Community Schools Liaison will work closely with school site staff and the community. This role will lead the implementation of the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) at the site level, overseeing community school processes, programs, partnerships, and strategies under the direct supervision of the Director of Community and Family Engagement. The liaison will manage data related to CCSPP goals and collaborate with P-BVUSD leaders to assess progress and development. In addition, the liaison will participate in community, site, and district meetings to build relationships with local organizations to support P-BVUSD students, staff, and families, promoting student success. They will also engage in the Community Schools Advisory Council and collaborate with other P-BVUSD Community School liaisons to manage partnerships and communication across the district. The focus will be on cultivating strategic partnerships with community organizations to enhance student support and explore opportunities to integrate CCSPP as needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Build and maintain trust through effective communication and develop collaborative relationships with students, staff, families, and community organizations to plan and implement community school initiatives. Support the development, organization and implementation programs, events, and services related to integrated student supports, community and family engagement, expanded learning and enriched opportunities, and/or collaborative leadership and practices. Coordinate and facilitate Community School Advisory Council meetings including agendas, content, and supplies. Assist with designing and implementing a Needs and Asset Assessment (NAA) and gap analysis to identify required resources for students, staff, and families. Cultivate community engagement by designing, developing, and coordinating projects that address key needs and identify strategic partnership opportunities to support student success. Connect parents with district and community resources. Deliver presentations and information sessions to raise awareness of community schools among community organizations, staff, and families. Gather and compile data and maintain records for reporting program goals and outcomes and ensuring program compliance. Assist with reporting as required by the CCSPP. Organize family engagement events, parent education programs, student services including logistics, communication, and scheduling. Compose and prepare routine letters, memoranda, flyers, pamphlets, presentations, brochures, and other communication materials. Maintain consultant agreements and MO - Us with partners and programs. Coordinate translation and interpretation services for family engagement events and programs to ensure parents can access educational events and services. Manage telephone and in-person communications with a courteous, respectful, and positive attitude, providing referrals as necessary, answering questions, and offering technical information. Attend meetings, conferences, and training sessions as required. Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position. Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of the community schools framework. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, students, families, and the public. Experience in facilitating collaborative meetings, problem-solving, and team-building. Experience with data collection and analysis. Experience in special event planning and project management. Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize, and implement tasks independently to meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Google Suite, Canva and Adobe Acrobat. Critical thinking skills with the ability to conduct research and use technology, including hardware and software applications. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including attention to spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Professional office skills, including phone etiquette and accurate record-keeping. Must have reliable and punctual transportation to attend meetings, events, training, etc. Abilities:Establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and all educational partners. Effectively communicates information and ideas, engaging with both small and large groups in a clear and approachable manner, ensuring all voices are heard and understood. Manage multiple tasks and coordinate events that foster student, staff, family and community participation. Ability to listen actively and empathetically to family concerns, providing guidance and support as needed. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Plan, edit, and produce written materials and digital presentations for internal and external communications. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evening or weekend events with advance notice. Must have reliable and punctual transportation to attend meetings, events, training, etc. Education and Experience:Minimum Qualifications. High school diploma Must possess 48 units college credit, pass equivalency exam (CODESP), or. Two years of experience working with family or a community engagement/relations setting or related field. Preferred Qualifications. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Previous experience working in public schools. Familiarity with the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP)Working Conditions:Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Working environment subject to long periods of standing, walking, bending, and crouching, and may include periods of working in outdoor spaces, pushing/pulling and lifting supplies and technical equipment, kneeling to access files from ground level to 4.5 feet above the ground, pushing/pulling of file drawers, reaching in all directions, and working at a computer and/or telephone for prolonged periods of times. Salary and Terms of Service:Salary range (41) $26.68 - $32.84 per hour, eight (8) steps, eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week (M-F). Holidays, sick leave and vacation benefits.
