Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves electrical equipment issues Installs electrical components including, but not limited to pneumatics, component wiring, and programming Specifies components for use in control systems Provides input into decisions regarding problem diagnosis and resolution Utilizes various measuring devices and testing equipment to diagnose and resolve electrical issues Programs equipment control systems to improve operations Completes assigned projects with minimal guidance Performs other duties as assigned Local Essential Functions – West Jefferson Diagnoses equipment problems and makes necessary mechanical repairs and adjustments to keep equipment in proper operating condition Repairs hydraulic and pneumatic systems Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as required Performs production tooling changes, which includes removing, installing, and setting up molds using established methods and parameters to meet specifications Submits samples to Quality Assurance for inspection and to obtain a license to produce parts Qualifications Ability to read, understand, and redline electrical drawings Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems Ability to use multimeters, soldering irons, drills, wire strippers, and crimping tools Ability to operate drills, cutting equipment, and basic shop equipment Intermediate PLC programming capabilities Extensive knowledge of industrial control systems Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level Knowledge of NEC codes and industrial control systems is preferred Ability to complete tasks within common electrical safety practices Working knowledge of AC and DC systems Computer operating system knowledge is strongly preferred Ability to utilize PC based software to diagnose components on automated machinery Ability to work independently and lead projects as assigned Self-motivated and capable of identifying and completing tasks with minimal direction Ability to communicate in verbal and written English Education & Experience Associate degree in mechatronics engineering technology, electrical engineering technology, computer engineering technology or a related technical field Minimum 3 years of hands-on industrial control system experience Travel Up to 5% may be required What We Offer Comprehensive benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance programs 401 K plans with employer-matching contributions Tuition reimbursement PTO Paid holidays Volunteer time off For more information about benefits, please go to: https://careers.leviton.com/benefits
