Summer Intern — Receptionist & Administrative Support

Denver

Tuesday, 19 May 2026

The Summer Intern — Receptionist & Administrative Support is the first face and voice of Atlas for visitors, residents, vendors, and prospects who reach out to our office. You will keep the front desk running smoothly while supporting the broader Portfolio Management, Leasing, and Operations teams with the administrative work that keeps a busy real estate office moving. This is a great fit for a student who is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and wants a true behind-the-scenes view of how a property management company operates. What You'll Do Front Desk & Visitor Experience Greet visitors, residents, prospects, and vendors warmly and direct them to the right person. Answer the main phone line, screen and route calls, and take detailed messages. Monitor the general inbox and route emails to the appropriate team member. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages; prepare outgoing mail and shipments. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area, conference rooms, and common spaces. Manage visitor sign-in and basic office security awareness during your shift. Administrative & Document Support Use App. Folio to update property and resident information and pull basic reports as needed. Help organize, scan, file, and store leases, vendor documents, and other property records (digital and physical). Support data entry and basic clean-up across spreadsheets, contact lists, and tracking sheets. Help prepare standard notices, letters, and resident communications for review by the PM team. Assist with calendar coordination, including scheduling inspections, vendor appointments, and team meetings. Support light expense and vendor invoice tracking under the direction of Operations. Help track office supplies and place reorders when needed. Team Coordination Attend daily check-ins with your manager to align on priorities. Use high-touch communication — Teams, phone, text, and email — with residents, prospects, vendors, and teammates. Apply the Urgent vs. Important matrix to triage requests and decide how to respond. Provide light support to the Leasing and Portfolio Management teams during busy periods (for example, helping coordinate showings, follow up on work orders, or prep marketing materials). Build a working understanding of how reception, operations, leasing, and field work fit together. What You'll Learn How a residential real estate office operates day-to-day. How to deliver a professional, friendly experience to residents, prospects, and vendors. How to use App. Folio, Microsoft Office, and other industry tools. How to manage competing priorities, stay organized, and communicate clearly across teams. Foundational exposure to leasing, property operations, and vendor management. Atlas Culture & Values Every member of the Atlas team — interns included — promotes and reinforces our values: Purpose First: Uplifting Humanity Through Real Estate Good for You, Good for Me, Good for Everything In Community Make it Memorable Simple, Empowered, Accountable Atlas Best Practices Always tell the truth, every time, without hesitation. Do the right thing, every time, even if it is inconvenient or costly. Understand and comply with applicable law and Atlas policies. Use good judgment and avoid even the appearance of improper conduct. Treat every person with dignity and respect. Seek guidance when questions arise about the right course of action. Speak up if you become aware of someone contemplating violating the law or Atlas policies. Raise your hand to leadership if you encounter possible violations. Bad news first and fast. Requirements Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (any major welcome; business, communications, hospitality, or real estate is a plus). Strong written and verbal communication skills with a warm, professional phone presence. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and comfort learning new software. Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once. High attention to detail, especially with documents, data entry, and scheduling. Ability to take direction, follow procedures, and ask thoughtful questions. Customer service mindset and a commitment to continual learning and growth. Discretion and good judgment when handling sensitive resident, vendor, or company information. Reliable transportation to and from the office; flexibility during the week. Must pass a background check. "Nice to Have" Qualifications Prior customer service, hospitality, retail, or front-desk experience. Prior administrative, executive support, or office coordination experience. Exposure to property management, real estate, or App. Folio. Bilingual (Spanish/ English). Comfort with light marketing tasks (formatting flyers, basic photo editing, social posts). Why This Internship This is not a coffee-and-copies internship. As the first point of contact at Atlas, you will see how every part of a property management company connects — leasing, operations, maintenance, accounting, and resident relations — and you will be trusted with real responsibility from day one. By the end of the summer you will have hands-on experience running a busy front desk, supporting a fast-moving team, and building professional habits that translate to any career path.
