Data governance concepts, terminology, and best practices. Measurement theory. Research design and evaluation methodologies. Principles, techniques, and terminology of educational research and program evaluation. Descriptive, and inferential statistical techniques, interpretation, validation, and application to measuring instructional outcomes. Database management and visualization tools. Data collection systems as related to educational research and program evaluation analysis, and the development of logic models. Applicable sections of Federal laws, the California Education Code, California Code of Regulations, and policies, rules and regulations of the Los Angeles County Office of Education. Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications. Fundamental concepts of employment laws, codes, and regulations, including EEO, FLSA, FMLA, and Cal/ OSHA and applicable provisions of collective bargaining agreements. Education: A bachelor's degree in social or behavioral sciences, data science, business administration, public administration or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this class from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Experience: Five years of experience developing, managing, and implementing policies, standards, and procedures related to data governance, data strategy, or data integration. At least three of the required years must involve managing or directing education initiatives, accountability systems, program evaluation, or research projects. Additional Requirements: A master’s degree in social or behavior sciences, data science, business, administration, public administration, or other closely related field is preferred. A valid California driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required. Hybrid remote schedules may be available.
