Job Summary Substitute classified is an on-call as needed position. Substitutes may work in a variety of different positions depending on their work experience. Requirements / Qualifications The following are required for this position prior to hire: - Qualified candidates will be contacted to move forward to get fingerprinted for DOJ & FBI Fingerprint Clearance - TB clearance (Required upon hire) - Vaccine Record (only for Paraeducator Early Childhood Education) Classified Substitute is an on-call as needed position. The district needs substitutes in the following areas: - Paraeducators Early Childhood Education: - certain vaccines required - Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: Ability to perform basic clerical functions, perform basic math calculation, operate standard office equipment including use of basic computer applications, use English in verbal and written form, use correct grammar, punctuation and spelling. Ability to understand and address students with special needs, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, maintain confidentiality of student records, read/interpret rules, regulations, and policies. Physical Abilities: Able to bend at the waist, stoop and kneel to assist students; and stand and walk for extended periods of time; Floor lift and arm lift up to 50 pounds.
