As a Research Assistant supporting the Bukavina Research Program, you will assist with the implementation and conduct of human subject clinical and laboratory research studies within Urology. In this role, you will help manage clinical trials from start to finish, work closely with urology surgeons and support primarily industry-sponsored research focused on cancer studies, device trials, male erectile dysfunction studies and other innovative therapies designed to provide patients with state-of-the-art treatment options for a variety of conditions. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. and must be willing to travel to regional hospital locations as needed. A caregiver who excels in this role will:Assist research team with research study related tasks. Assist with completion of protocol related activities. Obtain and maintain clinical competencies such as phlebotomy, vital signs, ECG, POC testing and other testing as required. Assist with the development and coordination of the research subject schedule in compliance with the research protocol. Assist with the collection, recording and maintenance of research study records. Demonstrate comprehension of assigned research protocols. Develop and maintain knowledge of research protocols to coordinate the comprehensive and compliant execution of assigned protocols. May assist in the development and maintenance of research tools, such as spreadsheets, questionnaires and/or brochures. Maintain study personnel certification records (License, CV, CITI). Establish and maintain filing systems. Order and stock supplies. Maintain professional relationships, including frequent and open effective communication with internal and external customers. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School Diploma/ GED Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of computer-based skills, including Word processing, spreadsheets, and database and presentation software Understand basic concept of study design Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: One year of experience in a healthcare setting OR Bachelor’s Degree Knowledge of medical terminology Customer service oriented Physical Requirements:Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information. In some locations, ability to move up to 25 pounds.
