Who You Are: Corporate Counsel - Construction supports the company’s legal operations with a concentration in construction law, including negotiating and managing construction contracts, design and engineering agreements, vendor and contractor arrangements, insurance and risk management matters, and regulatory compliance related to development and build activities. The role also advises on corporate governance, internal policies, and transactional matters, including oversight of corporate books and records. What You Will Do: Overseeing general construction legal matters. Negotiating and drafting customer and vendor contracts as well as various other transactional matters. Assisting with legal and regulatory compliance. Assisting with compliance with various domestic and international privacy laws. Assisting with the company’s data security program. Assisting with management of the Company’s insurance program and operations. Assisting with a variety of other legal functions. Managing collections on customer accounts. Performing a broad range of legal matters and general business matters based on the needs of the company, as assigned. Working with and managing outside counsel, counterparties, insurers, and other third parties as needed. What You Will Need to be Successful:J. D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials. Admission to the Bar of a U.S. state or the District of Columbia. Three or more years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer working in a general corporate transactional practice. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with construction law.
