The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long-term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care. We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic Nurse Aide State Registered I, who possesses the skills and desires to care for Kentucky’s Veterans. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment. We offer flexible scheduling, holiday, weekend and shift premiums. Key Responsibilities: Assists residents with personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, grooming, dental, oral and nail care Assists residents with medical appointments and transports Assists residents with bowel and bladder functions. Performs total physical care, assisting with meals, assisting with medical appointments and transports, as well as helping to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of our Veterans. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. This position, in Hopkins county has an approved Locality Premium of $6.23 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1). Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18 A.111.
