Functions as a general cashier or specialty banker based on shift assignment, business demand, and individual experience. Maintains accountability for cash, chips, and other assets in compliance with internal controls and Gaming Commission regulations. Processes transactions including check cashing, chip redemption, jackpot payouts, credit card advances, and redemption of counter checks. Handles front counter transactions and provides high-quality service to patrons. Monitors and maintains chip and coin inventory used at gaming tables. Ensures accurate consolidation and transfer of counter checks to the cashier's cage. Upholds cage security protocols and reports discrepancies or unusual activity promptly. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong math and money-handling skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to guest service. High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive transactions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional coursework in accounting, finance, or business is a plus. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience handling cash in a customer service, banking, or retail environment. Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced setting preferred. Familiarity with basic accounting principles and cash handling procedures. Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems, cash drawers, or currency counters preferred. Prior experience in a regulated environment such as gaming, banking, or hospitality is a plus. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.
