Supervise and mentor staff to ensure the effective and timely provision of services to families. Review case materials and manage assignment of families to staff. Ensure compliance with state and federal law, and policy to ensure compliance. Provide direct support to families addressing abuse, neglect, mental health, and substance abuse issues. Assist staff in assessing the safety of children with their families. Attend court hearings and provide testimony as necessary. Deliver ongoing casework services in a way that will honor and respect various cultural backgrounds and race, ensuring every family feels seen and valued. Collect and analyze outcome data to manage programs efficiently and ensure adherence to agency and state guidelines. Manage workloads on the team. Partner with other Ongoing supervisors to ensure there is consistency in programming and partnership among teams. Support staff in engaging families in a supportive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive manner. Collaborate with internal and external partners. Performs related work, as required. May be reassigned during emergency situations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of 5 years of combined education and experience in social casework experience. AND A bachelor's degree from a higher education institution with course work related to the job responsibilities of child welfare social caseworker. Course work examples can include and are not limited to, the development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures, or therapeutic techniques. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: One year in a supervisory or lead capacity. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:Thorough knowledge of the theories, principles and concepts of social casework practice. Thorough knowledge of community resources and agency rules and procedures related to assigned program area. Skill in supervision and management. Ability to work effectively with other employees, clients, agencies, management and the public.
