Parts Room Clerk Job Description. The Parts Room Clerk is required to handle the day-to-day inventory responsibilities, in support of other organizational functions. This position reports to the facility Purchasing Supervisor. Duties and Responsibilities - Process transactions for all materials leaving the department - Assist with dispersal of employee/department supplies - Perform cycle counts and associated data entry - Proper storage and handling of the received stock - Place tags and labels on the inventory stock as needed - Ensure cleanliness and proper organization of the work area - Follow the instructions of the purchasing manager / supervisor - Meet deadlines for completion of the delegated tasks. Skills and Specifications - Computer skills are required Use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word are required - Forklift/pallet jack operating skills are required - Mathematical and analytical abilities are required - Must be able to work independently with minimal or no supervision - Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively - Good interpersonal skills for interacting with other departments. Education and Qualifications. Some maintenance background/knowledge of parts is a plus. Must be available for weekend shifts when needed. Must be able to work 4:30 am-1 pm OR 5:00 am- 1:30 pm.
