Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:The Department of Mental Health is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to fill the role as an Environmental Service Specialist II to keep the buildings in a clean and orderly condition by maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the building. Please Note: This position is part time, 20 hours per week, M-F 8:00 am-12:00 pm, with some flexibility to be determined with hiring manager. Days off are Saturday and Sunday Duties and Responsibilities (These duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive): - Cleans and disinfects all lavatories; cleans office areas, conference rooms, windows/sills, hallways, stairwells, foyers, general space. - Refinishes floors by cleaning, stripping, waxing and buffing using approved chemicals and procedures to ensure floors retain a nice-looking appearance and equipment and machinery are operated following safety standards; clean and maintain equipment properly per manufacturer instructions. - Dispose of rubbish by pushing trash carts to receptacle locations in all areas to ensure trash is removed daily for sanitary control and safety purposes. - Maintain inventor and control over housekeeping supplies and material and ensure proper storage. - Clean and maintain carpeting by using vacuum cleaners to remove debris, utilizing carpet cleaners to ensure pot free material. - Performs related duties as requested..
