Check out our benefits for certain eligible, full-time employees at the links below: United States United Kingdom Canada Corrosion Technician, Paola Midstream Location: Paola, KS, US, 66071 #job-location.job-location-inline { display: inline; } Job Field: Maintenance Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future What to Expect As a Corrosion Technician you will be responsible for providing corrosion control services to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements for pipeline and terminal assets in a specified geographic area. You will, under the general direction of the Corrosion Supervisor, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair corrosion equipment for pipeline facilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulations. This role will office out of Paola, KS. Travel will be up to 25% of the time. - This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. The job posting expiration date is listed at the bottom of this job posting. Your assessment results will be valid for one year. What You’ll Do Completing annual cathodic protection surveys. Completing rectifier and bond inspections. Testing and Troubleshooting CP systems using various types of CP equipment. Evaluating and providing recommendations to mitigate corrosion control issues. Utilizing PCS software to record, monitor and evaluate CP data and Internal Coupon Data to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Utilizing SAP for tracking P - Ms and W - Os. Completing and issuing corrosion compliance reports. Monitoring and evaluating internal corrosion control systems. Coordinating the efforts of operation and maintenance personnel when they are providing corrosion control services. Coordinating the efforts of contractors with when they are providing corrosion control services. Coordinating the implementation of corrosion control projects. Providing corrosion control support on integrated project teams. Preparing proposed budgets for corrosion control programs and track approved budgets. Participating in regulatory and corporate audits. Supporting IMP data analysis & assessments. Supporting Pipeline Integrity Programs. Participating with teams in the corrosion function regarding best practices & compliance issues. Achieving certification through technical experience, education, examinations, and references. Annually maintains certification through professional activities and responds to emergencies as requested. What You’ll Bring – Required Legally authorized to work in the job posting country High school diploma or GED equivalent Must maintain a valid driver's license 2 or more years of experience with current corrosion control methods NACE CP Level 1 Certification Must live/relocate within 50 miles of the reporting location Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations: Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis on even & uneven terrain To use hand & power tools To work alone a high percentage of the time To raise & transport supplies & equipment weighing 40 lbs To climb to the top of tanks & other facility assets To use work equipment manuals & maps To work outside in harsh weather conditions What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred Associate degree or higher in Corrosion Technology or related field NACE CP Level II Certification or higher or Equivalent Certification Advanced proficiency in SAP, CPDM, PCS or other Cathodic Protection Data Management systems Compensation Range This position has a base salary range of $75,000 – $132,330 At Phillips 66, we are committed to pay transparency and competitive, equitable compensation. Midstream The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
