The Plant Maintenance Mechanic III is a senior-level technical role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position performs advanced mechanical maintenance on production systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure while supporting preventive and predictive maintenance programs. The role requires strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify equipment issues, minimize downtime, and implement effective corrective actions. The Mechanic III collaborates with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include performing complex equipment repairs, installing and modifying mechanical systems, and maintaining documentation within maintenance management systems. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, and other general duties as assigned. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses hand and power tools. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Location: Boulder/ Gunbarrel, Colorado. Minimum Requirements. To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident in your applicant profile and resume. Requires broad knowledge of operational systems and practices typically gained through prior work experience and/or education. Requires minimum of 4 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience. Preferred: Experience operating Megger tester. Troubleshooting motors, Drives and controls. Experience with Notifier Fire Alarm Systems. Experience troubleshooting network/ control cabling terminations. Proficiency reading equipment schematics. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C. F. R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. Physical Job Requirements.
