As a Clinical Audiologist, you will help perform diagnostic audiological test procedures to evaluate patient's hearing status, auditory pathway function and communicative function and maintains records for all services. A caregiver in this position works days, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Interpret and report test results to facilitate medical diagnosis to provide counseling and education about hearing loss, hearing aids and communication to patients and their families. Perform electroacoustic analysis of hearing aids. Perform hearing aid checks and minor repairs of hearing aids. Provide direct and indirect supervision of student externs, clinical fellows, fourth-year Au. D students and otolaryngology residents, as requested. Assist with planning, budget, service or project development, fee setting, purchase of new equipment or materials. Perform daily and monthly equipment checks and biological calibrations. Assist with electroacoustic calibration of equipment, as needed. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Doctorate in Audiology (Au. D) Eligible for an Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license to practice audiology Hold Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license to practice audiology Certificate of Clinical Competence Audiology (CCC-A) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within new hire period and maintain CC - Cs throughout employment Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Experience working in a fast-paced ENT practice Experience working with the pediatric patient population. Physical Requirements: Must be able to assist patients with mobility problems. Good hand dexterity to manipulate small objects associated with hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc. Ability to push carts which carry audiology test equipment. Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment s required.
