Under general supervision of the nursing supervisor, the Registered Nurse-Home Health Care Contingent PPV (RN HHC Cont) utilizes the knowledge and application of nursing principles to provide direct patient care in the home. The RN HHC Cont PPV assesses the need for other allied health care services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition, speech pathology and social work, to ensure an integrated home health care delivery system. Performs other related duties as required. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Requires graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program. Minimum of nine (9) months to one (1) year of clinical nursing experience preferred. The ability to effectively communicate with patients, families and hospital personnel is required. Knowledge of computer use is required to electronically document patient care. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required to interact effectively with individuals from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Must be able to lift, carry, transport, and move clients as needed. CERTIFICATIONS/ LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse required. Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license, a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation.
