The RN-Resource Pool Specialist I contributes to collaborative environments with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care, processes and outcomes. These caregivers have opportunity to leverage technology, participate in therapeutic intervention, and foster a spirit of clinical inquiry to improve care through evidence-based practice. This position is seen as a knowledge expert to improve patient care in varying nursing environments. Must be competent and maintain competency in two of the identified Resource Pool specialty groups. Cassia Regional Hospital in Burley is seeking experienced, adaptable Registered Nurses to join our Night Shift Resource Pool (Float Pool) team. If you’re looking for flexibility, professional growth, and additional compensation for your versatility, this role is for you. About the Cassia Regional Resource Pool RN Role – Night Shift. As a Night Shift Resource Pool RN at Cassia Regional Hospital, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining safe staffing and high-quality care across inpatient units during overnight hours. You will float to areas of greatest need, ensuring continuity of care and supporting teams when patient volumes and acuity fluctuate. This role requires confidence, independence, and adaptability, as night shift nurses often manage evolving patient needs with strong clinical judgment and teamwork. Resource Pool RNs receive a 10% float differential, along with applicable night shift differentials, in recognition of their flexibility, clinical expertise, and ability to seamlessly transition between units. Key Responsibilities:Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care across inpatient units during night shift. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Adapt quickly to different units, workflows, and varying acuity levels. Collaborate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams. Monitor, document, and evaluate patient conditions and outcomes throughout the shift. Ensure timely and accurate documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards. Provide patient and family education to support recovery and safe transitions of care. Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations during overnight hours. Uphold professional, ethical, and organizational standards of nursing practice. Minimum Qualifications:Current RN license in the state of Idaho (or compact license)Compact licenses must be transferred to Idaho within 60 days of start. Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience. Willingness and ability to float across multiple units at Cassia Regional Hospital. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verified)Strong adaptability, critical-thinking, and communication skills. Previous night shift experience preferred. Interest in professional development and cross-training into specialty units. Compensation & Schedule:Full-time night shift Resource Pool positions available 10% Float Differential applied to all hours worked. Additional night shift differentials may apply. Coverage includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Opportunity for skill advancement and specialty cross-training over time. Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.).- and -May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $36.71 - $56.17
