As a Night Shift Resource Pool RN at Cassia Regional Hospital, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining safe staffing and high-quality care across inpatient units during overnight hours. You will float to areas of greatest need, ensuring continuity of care and supporting teams when patient volumes and acuity fluctuate. This role requires confidence, independence, and adaptability, as night shift nurses often manage evolving patient needs with strong clinical judgment and teamwork. Resource Pool RNs receive a 10% float differential, along with applicable night shift differentials, in recognition of their flexibility, clinical expertise, and ability to seamlessly transition between units. Key Responsibilities:Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care across inpatient units during night shift. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Adapt quickly to different units, workflows, and varying acuity levels. Collaborate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams. Monitor, document, and evaluate patient conditions and outcomes throughout the shift. Ensure timely and accurate documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards. Provide patient and family education to support recovery and safe transitions of care. Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations during overnight hours. Uphold professional, ethical, and organizational standards of nursing practice. Minimum Qualifications:Current RN license in the state of Idaho (or compact license)Compact licenses must be transferred to Idaho within 60 days of start. Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience. Willingness and ability to float across multiple units at Cassia Regional Hospital. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verified)Strong adaptability, critical-thinking, and communication skills. Previous night shift experience preferred. Interest in professional development and cross-training into specialty units. Compensation & Schedule:Full-time night shift Resource Pool positions available 10% Float Differential applied to all hours worked. Additional night shift differentials may apply.
