Mills is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join the team at the Kansas City Plant. This position will play an integral part of the inventory management of our plant. The inventory analyst position will conduct investigation, analysis, and tracking of inventory to maintain accuracy and assist in decision-making in a highly cross-functional, interactive work environment. This position will work closely with the plant’s Warehouse and Finance teams to understand the operational and financial importance of ethical and accurate inventory management. Broad sets of responsibilities include inventory discrepancy investigation and resolution, internal monthly cycle counts, plant inventory reporting, and audit readiness. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead inventory reconciliation and reporting through investigation, analyzation, and identification of root cause for inventory discrepancies. Facilitate inventory management practices through monthly cycle counts, annual wall to wall inventory count, and issuance of recounts when necessary. Provide monthly reporting to the Warehouse and Finance teams including analysis of inventory variances and trends. Perform weekly activities such as reconciling differences between the warehouse management system (Blue Yonder) and the financial system (SAP). Assist Plant Planning, Warehouse, and FSQ teams with inventory discrepancies and drive internal and external communication necessary to resolve inventory issues. Assist responsible departments and make necessary SAP and Blue Yonder (WMS) inventory adjustments arising from hold orders, over/shorts, quality notifications, SAP IDOC errors, and other inventory driving activities. Review and certify documentation and support of stock adjustments, destroys, inventory freshness, inventory damage, and other inventory records in adherence to internal controls. Maintain filing of inventory paperwork including BOL’s, miscellaneous shipping orders, quality notifications, and other inventory support documentation. Participate in annual HMM (cost savings) initiatives with cross functional HMM teams. Assist in maintaining audit ready status of internal controls through periodic review and self-audits. Ownership of finished product and materials holds from creation to disposition. Ensure that accurate records of holds are maintained for record keeping/audit purposes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma 2 years of experience with warehousing, inventory, logistics or other related activities. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, SAP or other relevant technologies for Warehouse and Inventory. Self-managed individual with demonstrated motivation and initiative. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively interact with individuals of various levels and functions. Able to work safely and promote safety in the plant. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree (preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain)Proficient in SAP and Blue Yonder (WMS)Proficient in Excel and Outlook. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Experience working in a finance/accounting/supply chain role within manufacturing.
