The incumbent may also be required to conduct surveys of other types of licensed providers, as assigned by management. The incumbent must be proficient with computer equipment and software programs, such as Microsoft Word and Outlook, as well as smart phone technology. This position requires successful completion of all Center for Medicare Services (CMS) Quality, Safety & Education Portal (QSEP) training for Life Safety within six (6) months of hire. This position has been identified as mission essential. The incumbent in this position may be required to work during the weekend or on holidays. In addition, mission essential personnel will be required to work during disasters, to include but not limited to, work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency work may involve the incumbent to work in another county or staffing location to assist other State Agencies with emergency work. Emergency duties may include, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. Knowledge of construction standard rating for health care facilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS Fire Safety Inspector I Certification pursuant to Chapter 633.261, F. S. and Chapter 69 A-39, F. A. C.. Two (2) years of professional or paraprofessional experience in fire prevention, fire protection systems installations, or other construction inspection related experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. This position is required to complete Basic Life Safety training within six (6) months of hire.
