About the role: The Quality Control Engineer implements and maintains a comprehensive quality assurance and quality control (QA/ QC) program across generation (power plant) projects. You will support project execution by ensuring installation, startup, and commissioning of equipment to minimize rework and avoid warranty issues. Your work will involve active participation in project reviews, inspections, quality plan development, and resolving installation or contractor-related quality concerns to ensure projects meet established standards, regulatory requirements, and performance expectations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement inspection and testing procedures for materials and on-site services Participate in project reviews, including design, planning, and execution phases Monitor construction activities to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformance issues Review and develop project-specific Quality Control plans Conduct site inspections, installation walkdowns, and commissioning support Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and operations teams to resolve quality issues Perform or coordinate shop inspections and factory acceptance testing (FAT) Analyze quality reports and track issue resolution across multiple projects Investigate root causes of failures and recommend corrective actions Maintain quality management processes Support internal and external audits Train team members on quality best practices Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) 3 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control (QA/ QC) Background in power generation, utilities, or heavy industrial environments Experience with inspection/testing procedures and identifying construction defects Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
