Veterinary Hospital Operations Coordinator (RVT)Department:Veterinary Medical Center | Medical Center at Dublin. The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Frank Stanton Veterinary Spectrum of Care Clinic (SOCC) Veterinary Hospital Operations Coordinator is a full-time, position responsible for supporting the daily operational functions of the hospital, with a primary focus on supply chain management, inventory oversight, equipment coordination, and workflow support. As a Registered Veterinary Technician this role is designed to provide the ideal candidate with an advanced, non-supervisory position, with the opportunity to develop operational, business, and leadership-adjacent skills while supporting clinical operations and senior leadership. The Veterinary Hospital Operations Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the hospital operates efficiently by maintaining appropriate inventory levels, supporting procurement processes, and coordinating equipment use, maintenance, and replacement. Responsibilities include oversight of supply ordering, monitoring and adjusting par levels, managing backorders and substitutions, and working with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of supplies. The coordinator is also responsible for maintaining organization and functionality of supply areas, supporting standardization efforts, and identifying opportunities to improve inventory control processes. In addition to supply chain responsibilities, this role supports daily hospital operations and workflow optimization, including assistance with financial reconciliation, database management, and other routine operational functions that support the overall efficiency and accuracy of hospital processes. The coordinator works collaboratively with clinical staff, technicians, and leadership to identify operational inefficiencies, support implementation of process improvements, and ensure resources are appropriately allocated to meet patient care needs. This position also serves as a first point of contact for client concerns and disputes, utilizing sound judgment, professionalism, and effective communication to address issues in real time and escalate appropriately when needed. The SOCC Operations Coordinator serves as a liaison between clinical teams and hospital leadership, providing insight into day-to-day operational challenges and assisting with the implementation of new initiatives, equipment rollouts, and process improvements. This role may support data tracking and reporting related to inventory usage, supply costs, and operational efficiency, contributing to informed decision-making and continuous improvement efforts. This position is intended to function as a developmental step for an RVT, bridging advanced technical expertise and future leadership roles. While the role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities, the coordinator is expected to demonstrate leadership behaviors through influence, accountability, initiative, and support of team success. The position provides exposure to operational decision-making, resource management, and strategic priorities within a veterinary hospital setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently while supporting a team-based clinical setting. A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to navigate sensitive client interactions are critical for success in this role. Qualified candidates must hold current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) licensure in the State of Ohio or be eligible for licensure. Prior clinical experience is required, along with demonstrated interest or experience in inventory management, equipment coordination, or hospital operations. Prior clinical experience is required, along with demonstrated interest or experience in inventory management, equipment coordination, or hospital operations. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred. Physical Conditions:STANDING FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME PUSHING/ PULLING/ LIFTING UP TO 50 LBS EXPOSURE TO ANIMALS, AND ANIMAL AND/ OR ZOONOTIC DISEASES EXPOSURE TO NEEDLE STICKS, HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS, AND/ OR BIO-HAZARDOUS WASTE Location:Stanton Veterinary Clinic (1054)Position Type:Regular.
