The primary function of this role is to coordinate and oversee clinical placement processes across all McKenzie-Elliott School of Nursing programs. As enrollment continues to expand and clinical placement environments become increasingly competitive, a centralized and dedicated position is necessary to ensure equitable, appropriate, and timely placement of students in clinical settings that align with course and program learning outcomes. This role will work collaboratively with course coordinators, program directors, and external clinical partners to evaluate site appropriateness based on student level, course objectives, and regulatory standards, thereby strengthening academic-practice partnerships and enhancing clinical learning experiences. In addition, this position will serve as the central liaison for clinical contracts and Memorandums of Understanding (MO - Us), ensuring that all agreements are properly executed, reviewed by university legal counsel, and maintained in compliance with institutional and accreditation standards. The systematic management and organization of these agreements within a shared repository will improve operational efficiency, support accreditation documentation, and provide transparency for faculty and leadership when identifying and utilizing clinical sites. This function is critical for maintaining compliance with CCNE standards related to practice experiences and partnerships, as well as SACSCOC expectations for institutional effectiveness and resource management.
