Material Handler/Driver - 2nd shift

A Material Handler/ Driver operates a truck to deliver and pick up cargo within a local area serving our processes within our four manufacturing buildings . nd shift schedule, 3 PM -11:30 PM, Mon - Fri. Duties and Responsibilities:Observes speed limits and obeys all road signs while making on-time delivery schedules. Records travel and vehicle maintenance information in logs. Operates equipment to unload or load vehicle. Performs simple vehicle maintenance (i.e. cleaning interior and exterior, taking vehicle for state inspections, filling tires with air, etc)Verify cargo is secure and loaded properly. Inspect brakes, windshield wipers, and lights to confirm proper working condition. Inspect fire extinguisher, flares and other safety equipment on truck are in working order Interacts with customers and vendors to obtain signatures and gives receipt of goods. Assist shipping department with packaging. Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately. Essential Knowledge and Skills:Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job. Able to use automatic routing or location software. Knowledge of local area and able to read and use maps. Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license. Good DMV driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Education and Experience:Education:High school diploma or GED. Required Experience:No experience required. We can train candidates with the essential knowledge and skills. Preferred Experience:Two years' experience as a delivery driver in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. #LI-MP 1
