Job Standards
Certified Ohio Peace Officer or Currently Attending OPOTA Police Academy. Valid driver’s license 21 years of age or older
Essential Functions
Patrol & Protect: Ensure the safety of park visitors and the preservation of park resources and facilities. Enforce & Educate: Uphold Park rules, regulations, and the Ohio Revised Code while educating visitors. Inspect & Prevent: Conduct inspections of park grounds, buildings, and facilities to identify and address safety hazards and manage human-wildlife conflicts. Report & Testify: Issue citations for rule violations, prepare detailed reports, and testify in court as needed. Engage & Inform: Respond to public inquiries, explain park rules and provide information to enhance visitors’ park experiences. Community Involvement: Participate in public programs and community events, representing Preservation Parks with pride. Collaborate: Work alongside other Delaware County law enforcement agencies to ensure comprehensive public safety.
