Implement and maintain EHS programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Support the Kaman Bloomfield campus EHS programs by performing audits, inspections and tracking inventories. Conduct audits monthly for EHS programs. Alert EHS and/or facilities leadership of issues. Inspect facilities, equipment, and operations to identify potential hazards. Be part of the team to Investigate incidents and determine root causes / corrective actions. Conduct monitoring for ventilation. Monitor EHS performance in the workplace and provide feedback to leadership. Assemble and install equipment including desks and material handling equipment. Maintain EHS compliance records and documentation. Provide input and assistance in the development EHS strategies. Operate in a safe manner at all times, setting the example for a "safety first" mindset. Maintain company information as technical or proprietary. Complete professional development training including OSHA 10 hour, Haz. Wopr, RCRA and OSHA 30 hour or other identified / necessary training. Requirements and Qualifications. Education: Minimum high school education. Preferred Bachelors Degree in health or safety. Experience: 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Physical Requirements. Lifting - up to 40 lbs. Bending. Twisting. Walking 8 hours per day. Wearing personal protective equipment daily including safety shoes and glasses.
