The company is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on multi-family and commercial construction projects throughout the region. This individual will play a critical leadership role in managing subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, driving quality control, and ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly accountable, and capable of keeping complex projects moving without constant oversight. This role requires strong communication skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple trades and phases simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through final turnover Oversee buildings, sitework, utilities, and phased construction operations Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to plans/specifications Maintain and drive the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance Identify and proactively resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget Coordinate inspections and ensure readiness for major milestones and occupancy requirements Maintain organized, professional, and safety-focused job sites Produce and distribute short-term three-week look-ahead schedules Provide daily updates and progress reports to project leadership Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies Assist with punch list completion, project closeout, and client turnover Requirements Preferred Experience & Qualifications Proven experience as a Superintendent on multi-family and/or commercial construction projects Experience managing projects with multiple buildings or phased turnover schedules Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and field coordination Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and identify conflicts early Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain aggressive schedules Strong leadership and communication skills with a direct, solution-oriented approach High level of accountability and ownership in the field Experience coordinating with municipalities, inspectors, and utility providers Familiarity with certificate of occupancy (C of O) processes and inspection requirements Knowledge of quality control procedures and punch list management Experience with tight schedules and high-volume turnover demands Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and standard construction management tools OSHA knowledge and commitment to maintaining safe job sites Understanding of how field decisions impact project budgets and overall cost control Benefits Competitive salary starting at $150,000-$170,000 Performance-based bonus opportunity Vehicle allowance Gas card provided Long-term project pipeline and regional career growth opportunities Opportunity to work with a growing, entrepreneurial construction organization High-visibility role on significant multi-family developments
