Santa Monica Seafood was the first and still the only seafood company in the United States to achieve FSSC 22000 certification for food safety management systems, ISO 14001 certification for environmental management programs and BAP certification of its main processing facility. Sanitation Worker As a Sanitation Associate, you are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety throughout the facility. This includes cleaning equipment, production areas, and work surfaces to ensure a safe, sanitary, and efficient environment that meets regulatory and company standards. Duties and Responsibilities:Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment, tools, and workspaces. Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals according to guidelines. Properly dispose of waste and follow recycling procedures. Follow written and verbal instructions; work cooperatively with others. Adhere to food safety, quality, and employee safety protocols. Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to supervisors. Schedule: 4 PM-:1:30 AM Compensation $17.50 hr start. With potential .50 cent increase after 90 days. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. Work involves bending, reaching, and repetitive motion. Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year of sanitation, janitorial, or warehouse experience preferred. Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and safe chemical handling.
