What You Do: Paraeducators provide instructional support and deliver other direct services to students under the direction of a certified teacher or other licensed employee. There are two classifications of Paraeducators: I and II. The schools will hire depending on the needs of the students/school. What You Need. High School Diploma or GED - Ability to communicate with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians orally and in writing. Basic academic and computer skills. Preferred Qualifications. Experience working or volunteering in a school setting. Experience working with individualized education plans (IEPs)Associates degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a similar field.
