This role is responsible for end-to-end fiber network design and project delivery with a focus on redundancy, resiliency, and backbone connectivity. Engineer 3 leads preliminary network designs, assesses fiber resiliency strategies, and supports CRAN overbuild and backbone connectivity initiatives. This position partners closely with Design, Construction, and ISO teams to deliver scalable network solutions, while managing projects, supporting break/fix activity, and ensuring alignment to cost, quality, and execution standards. - Skill: Network Engineering – ability to understand and interpret high-level network designs and architecture - Skill: Fiber Design – experience designing fiber paths for hub relocations, new hubs, and backbone connectivity - Skill: Fiber Optic Troubleshooting – ability to support break/fix activities and diagnose network resiliency issues - Skill: Project Management – ability to intake requirements, manage, track, and deliver projects end-to-end - Skill: Cost Modeling & Budgeting – experience developing preliminary cost models and managing budgets for redundancy builds - Skill: Communication – strong vertical and horizontal communication skills with leadership, construction, and cross-functional teams - Skill: Documentation – ability to document processes, project updates, and technical decisions clearly for downstream teams. Job Description. Key Responsibilities. Assess fiber redundancy and resiliency builds based on existing network designs. Design fiber paths for hub moves, new hub builds, and network expansion. Create and support CRAN overbuild projects, including preliminary design development. Develop cost models and preliminary designs for fiber connectivity to datacenters. Create and support backbone connectivity projects and associated preliminary designs. Manage project lifecycle from intake through design handoff and completion. Collaborate with Design, Construction, and ISO teams to execute network projects. Develop and manage budgets for redundancy and resiliency builds. Support break/fix activities and assist with network incident resolution. Work Environment.
