What We’re Doing. At Lockheed Martin, our Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C 2 BMC) National Team (C 2 NT) is pioneering the development and integration of cutting-edge technologies to advance the Missile Defense System, safeguarding the United States and its allies. Our collaborative and agile organization operates in a fast-paced environment, driving innovation through tasks such as sensor/weapon integration, algorithm development, user interface development, automated testing, cyber security, enterprise/infrastructure services, and enhancing leading-edge missile defense technologies. The Work. Designs, plans, and validates secure network communications systems for the C 2 BMC program. You develop detailed specifications, schematics, and capacity forecasts; select hardware/software; implement firewalls, switches, routers, and security relevant devices; and conduct rigorous testing. You apply Do. W RMF/ CSRMC/ STIG compliance, produce required IA documentation, and harden all devices. Work is performed independently under general direction, with critical reviews at key milestones, and you influence long-range organizational goals by collaborating with senior leadership. Please Note: - This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.- This position is based at a Lockheed Martin facility in Colorado Springs, CO. The role requires flexibility to travel to alternate work locations as needed. Who We Are. As leader of the C 2 BMC team, Lockheed Martin directs a partnership of highly responsive industry leaders developing and fielding the backbone of America’s missile defense. Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. You will also have the opportunity to interface with our key customers in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). C 2 BMC|Lockheed Martin. Who You Are. You are a technically proficient network security professional with at least three years of relevant experience (preferably more) and a post-secondary degree or equivalent training. You combine deep knowledge of networking, OSI/ TCP-IP fundamentals, and Do. W security standards to solve complex problems, communicate clearly with diverse audiences, and mentor junior engineers. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are willing to support night/weekend events, and can travel to alternate sites such as Schriever Space Force Base.
