Test site support, at Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River, as a Flight Test Instrumentation Operations Engineer (FTIOE), to participate in the Test and Verification (T&V) efforts of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. This position is to provide engineering services for quick response flight and ground instrumentation in relation to mechanical and electrical installation additions and modifications to the FTI Airborne Data Acquisition and camera systems on an assigned aircraft variant. Responsibilities to include: Directing and coordinating FTI requirements with other Engineering IPT groups as well as Test Operations, Flight Ops, and Maintenance; Coordinating and supporting pre and post-flight tasks in support of mission requirements; Participating in the pre and post-flight briefings; Developing and maintaining instrumentation configuration control documentation and data system configuration files; Support requirements for real-time FTI system health monitoring in a mission control room environment. This position may involve travel to support deployments due to test mission requirements. Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified materials. - - Must be a US Citizen.
