About the role: Site Project Manager - Contract Position based at Diablo Canyon. WECTEC Staffing/ Westinghouse is looking for a Site Project Manager for Westinghouse work at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Plant. This position is onsite at Diablo Canyon in Avila Beach, CA. You will report to the Manager of I&C Installation Services and onsite management. You will be responsible for all project management processes and oversee large teams during online work phase and outages. Key Responsibilities: - Project planning - Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines. - Manage field teams to plan Work Orders - Work with customer to develop outage and online schedule. - You are responsible for project execution, monitoring and controls. - Assume overall responsibility for profitability of contracts. - Based on project plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members to complete the work. - Manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and partners through use of delegates/support as applicable. - Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to teams following an integrated change management process. - Review project expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope. - Promote teamwork including issuing and maintenance of project process metrics and process maps to ensure team, customer, and all partners are kept informed of project status. - Develop or oversee project databases and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members. Qualifications: - We require a high school graduate or the recognized equivalent / We prefer a post high school degree (Bachelors or Associates) /certificate or equivalent in experience. - We require prior experience in planning and managing I&C projects. - We require prior experience in the nuclear industry. - Ability to travel and maintain “Unescorted Access” status.
