Bookstacks Student Assistant: Play an essential role towards maintaining organization and accessibility of print and media collections at D. H. Hill Library. Primary duties include processing, sorting and re-shelving returned materials, retrieving requested materials from the stacks, and scanning requested selections from print materials. Interlibrary Services (ILS) Student Assistant: Supports ILS staff with daily workflows that include processing electronic loans and borrowing requests, and take on new tasks. Department Information Job City & State Raleigh, NC Department Access Services System Information Classification Title Temporary-Clerical Working Title Bookstacks/ Interlibrary Services (ILS) Student Assistant (Hill) Position Information Requirements and Preferences Work Schedule Work schedule to be determined based on availability and the Bookstacks/ ILS scheduling needs. Schedule will occur within the ranges of Monday - Friday: 9 am-6 pm, with the possible option of weekend shifts on Saturday - Sunday: 10 am-5 pm. Other Work/ Responsibilities Minimum Experience/ Education Current NC State student, preferably with at least two semesters remaining before graduation. Department Required Skills Able to follow instructions, procedures and department policies and adjust to changes Able to manage time and accomplish assigned tasks with minimum supervision Readiness to assist patrons in finding library materials Dependable and punctual Some light lifting and pushing required. Other special projects as needed Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education Experience searching online journal databases preferred but not required. Required License or Certification N/ A Valid NC Driver's License required? No Commercial Driver's License Required?
