JOB DETAILS - Base pay rate is $18.50 per hour Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, hours may vary depending on operations. This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Set up and operate heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations. Knowledge of production techniques and have the ability to produce quality-building parts. Knows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment. Ability to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation. Mark part number, order number, number of pieces on parts. Attach identification tags as required for customer to have the ability to locate correct parts. Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical data and select correct raw material or semi-finished parts. Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area. Standing and walking 8-12 hrs. every day. Repetitive material handling. Some in awkward body positioning. Repetitive climbing on and off of equipment and ladders. Varying and extreme working conditions inside and outside (Hot, Cold, Rain, Shine) Qualifications. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment. Good Communication Skills. Basic Computer Skills. Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment and nail guns. Able to use of measuring gauges. Able to read a tape measure. Forklift experience a plus / Must be trainable on forklift. Crane experience a plus / Must be trainable on crane. Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
