The College of Engineering Recruitment and Student Services Office at Iowa State University is seeking a Student Services Specialist II to lead and coordinate undergraduate recruitment efforts for prospective Cyclone Engineers. This dynamic, student-facing role is focused on engaging future students and their families as they explore engineering pathways and discover opportunities within the College of Engineering. In this role, you will coordinate recruitment events, campus visits, and outreach programs while serving as a key point of contact for prospective students. You will deliver presentations, facilitate one-on-one conversations, and use CRM tools to manage communications and engagement efforts. The position also includes advising the Engineering Ambassador & Mentor program (TEAM), supervising student ambassadors, and supporting high-impact recruitment initiatives such as campus tours, college fairs, and high school visits. Some travel is required, offering the opportunity to connect with students locally, regionally, and nationally while helping inspire the next generation of engineers. Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in higher education or a related field Experience in higher education admissions or undergraduate student recruitment Experience building and maintaining relationships with prospective students, families, and educational partners Experience delivering engaging presentations and communicating effectively to large audiences. Experience advising and mentoring students individually in both in-person and virtual settings Proficiency with workplace technology (CRM systems such as Salesforce, Workday, and Microsoft Office Suite) Experience planning and executing large-scale events in a university setting.
