Licensed Psychologist


Part-Time or Full-Time 15-35 hours per week / $55 - $75 per hour


(The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.)


Summary: MHALA’s Wellness Center is operating a Neuroinclusive Project, dedicated to serving the diverse needs of program participants. The Neuroinclusive Project is specifically focused on identifying, assessing, and supporting individuals experiencing Neurodivergent conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The Psychologist would provide psychological assessment and testing to outpatient mental health program participants, as well as clinical consultation to a multi-disciplinary team to maximize service accessibility and effectiveness. The Psychologist may also provide staff training to help service providers better understand how to identify, assess, and serve participants with these conditions. Part-time to full-time options available based on candidate availability and program need.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This is not an exhaustive task list, and other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate or necessary by the supervisor or program director.   • The Psychologist will join a multi-disciplinary team providing holistic mental health care to MHALA program participants.
  • The Psychologist will provide psychological assessment and diagnosis of referred participants, with a particular focus on assessing for Neurodivergent conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.
  • The Psychologist will develop a recommended treatment plan and disposition for each participant assessed. This information will be reported to the Wellness Center Team to implement appropriate supports to participants.
  • The Psychologist will present at team meetings the findings/outcomes from completed assessments, and provide feedback to the team for how best to meet participant needs.
  • The Psychologist will report and assist with tracking outcomes to the Director for purposes of reporting to grant funders.
  • The Psychologist will document all clinical services in the Electronic Health Record as required by LA County Department of Mental Health.
  • The Psychologist will provide trainings as assigned or as need is identified on topics that will assist MHALA staff better serve the needs of the Neurodivergent population.

Position Requirements:

  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of California.
  • Clinical experience working with adults with Neurodivergent conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD, as well as experience with other psychiatric disorders including Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, and Psychotic Disorders.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, HIPAA, and other legal and ethical guidelines affecting evaluation and compliance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information with discretion.
Salary Description
$55.00 - $75.00 per hour
