This position performs a variety of duties to ensure proper receiving and inventory of all incoming material, goods, tooling, and supplies following established procedures. Essential Functions: Carry out routine record keeping, posting, checking and processing duties, both written and computer based, to ensure proper receiving, accounting, storage, identification, disbursement, and inventory of all incoming material, goods, tooling, and supplies, following established procedures. Work with certain tools and material handling equipment to perform daily material handling tasks. Maintain necessary records (both written and computerized) in an accurate and timely manner. Move materials as necessary in the performance of duties, following established safety and security rules and regulations. Store and retrieve materials from the Bulk Storage Area. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Verify, receive and post all inventory shipments. Work with computer-generated reports such as packing slips, receivers, purchase orders, etc. to verify received material. Sort and distribute items. Check inventory levels and stock control records to ensure adequate level of inventory is maintained. Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts. Issue tools, fixtures, materials and miscellaneous supplies as requested according to instructions. Receive and process necessary paperwork for returned tooling and goods and store in proper locations. Visually inspect tools for obvious damage; receive damaged/worn tools and process for repair or replacement. Check, receive and post all incoming shipments from commercial carriers such as truckers, UPS, etc. and process for distribution to proper department. Package, load and ship parts to outside vendors when required. Perform other job related duties as required or as directed. Requirements: Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required for all positions. Experience: Prior receiving and/or stockroom experience is preferred. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. Computer skills are required. Experience with AS 400 is a plus.
