Our nonprofit client in Washington, DC is hiring a temporary Convention and Meetings Associate. This is a hybrid position (2 days in office and 3 days remote). The Convention and Meetings Associate will provide operational and administrative support during a critical pre-convention planning period. This role will serve as the primary operational point of contact for convention logistics. This individual will work directly with and report to the Senior Dire[ "\n\t. Track open action items with vendors and follow up to ensure timely responses; escalate scope, cost, or commitment questions to the Senior Director before responding\n\t. Review and organize vendor contracts, service agreements, and deliverable timelines\n\t. Coordinate active planning workflows including session scheduling, food & beverage and event space request forms, and print program vendor coordination\n\t. Manage interest group food & beverage and event space request form submissions, track responses, and follow up as needed\n\t. Support the additional slot request process, including tracking First VP decisions and coordinating the follow-up scheduling window\n\t. Coordinate the program planner and staff session schedule verification process, serving as the primary point of contact for planner questions and issues\n\t. Monitor and manage the convention team inbox; triage incoming inquiries, respond independently to routine correspondence, and route or escalate as appropriate\n\t.
