Nurse Practitioner Specialty - Home Visit & Community Based Clinic Hiring Range $138,424.00 to $189,176.00 Hiring Incentives: Sign-on Bonus Summary of Job Responsibilities: The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Nurse Practitioner - Specialty is responsible for providing comprehensive, direct clinical care to customer-owners within an assigned area. This position operates across multiple sites, including the Home Visit Team and Centennial Clinic this clinic is focused on geriatric care. This role serves as a float provider for Community Based Programs covering a range of offsite clinic locations, including the Brother Francis Clinic, Covenant House Clinic, Elders' Clinic, and Primary Care Clinics. Qualifications: SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF's vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services: Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Alaska. Current certification by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required Additional Qualifications: Certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP); or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP); or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner; or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC); AND two (2) years of clinical experience providing primary care to older adults and/or frail populations Alaska Native/ American Indian Preference in Employment Pursuant to the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, as amended, SCF pursues a policy of Alaska Native/ American Indian preference in hiring, contracting, and training.
