Job Summary Under the direction of the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Executive Director or designee, provide early intervention services for infants and toddlers (birth to age three) with disabilities, including instruction, assessment, and family support. This role also supports coordination of the Early Start Program (IDEA Part C), including Individualized Family Service Plans (IFS - Ps) implementation, referrals, timelines, data tracking, and compliance with state and federal requirements. The position works closely with families, Regional Center, Family Resource Centers, and local education agencies (LE - As) to ensure services are coordinated, timely, and effective. Requirements / Qualifications Education: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and - Possession of, or ability to obtain, an Educational Specialist Early Childhood Special Education Credential or authorization; or - Possess a valid Severely Handicapped Teaching Credential and verification of successful teaching of students ages birth to pre-kindergarten for a minimum of three (3) years prior to July 1, 2003 Experience: - Experience in early childhood special education, early intervention, or related field preferred - Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families - Experience with IFS - Ps, assessments, and interagency collaboration desirable - Experience with data systems and compliance tracking desirable - Bilingual skills in Spanish (oral and written) highly desirable Application Process: To be considered for this position, the candidate must submit: - An online application - Cover Letter/ Letter of Introduction - Resume - (3) Professional Letters of Recommendation Professional reference checking will be completed in the final hiring process.
