Design and layout fire alarm systems for large and complex commercial projects - Ensure designs comply with NFPA standards along with local, state, and federal codes - Prepare detailed drawings, submittals, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, and related design software - Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and constructability - Coordinate with project managers, engineers, installers, and field personnel throughout project execution - Provide technical support during installation, inspections, and system commissioning - Work directly with AH - Js for approvals and project compliance - Mentor and assist junior designers with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role Qualifications: - 7 years of experience in fire alarm system design preferred - NICET Level III or IV in Fire Alarm Systems is highly preferred - Candidates with significant experience in other fire protection systems are encouraged to apply - Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection standards - Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and related drafting/design software - Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively - Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills - Prior experience mentoring or leading team members is a plus - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field is preferred but not required What's Being Offered: - Competitive compensation package - Full benefits package - Long-term career growth and advancement opportunities - Opportunity to transition into a leadership or management role - Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate - Stable and respected company with a strong project backlog For more information on this opportunity or other positions within the fire protection and construction industries, please contact 605-697-9951 or email me at jon.kabambi@gogpac.com All inquiries and resumes will be kept strictly confidential.
