Evans Distribution Systems, one of the area’s leading logistics providers is looking for experienced Afternoon Forklift Driver for its growing Division in Detroit, MI. Description. Unload inbound shipments safely and move product as needed. Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate area. Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage. Prepare necessary paperwork and submit it to operations manager. Frequent & repetitive lifting using both hands/arms for items weighing. The Lifting frequency may be more than 100 repetitions per-shift. Frequent bending and twisting at waist/knees/neck while off-loading. Help maintain cleanliness of warehouse and building grounds. Handle customer products with integrity. Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards. Assist in warehousing operations as needed, and all other miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor. Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials with integrity in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Responsible for awareness and compliance with warehouse work rules and company policies. Lift using proper safety methods provided by the company. Requirements. High school degree/ GED 3 years’ experience driving a Forklift is a must. Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing (including background check and drug test)Details & Location. Position is located on the Eastside of Detroit, MI.
