This is responsible administrative work responsible for the schedules and timesheets of sworn police personnel. Work involves performing routine administrative duties in accordance with established guidelines or procedures under the general supervision of an administrative superior. An employee in this classification ensures minimum levels of police officers (population ratio) are met at each shift by staffing each shift appropriately, edits timesheets, schedules training and court appearances, and approves time-off requests for patrol units. Work is assigned by an immediate supervisor and through directives through the chain of command. Essential Functions Inputs and edits, as necessary, time sheets of Patrol Officers into the KRONOS timekeeping system Schedules mandatory trainings and court appearances for Officers via staffing system Approves time-off requests for patrol unit officers Processes other personnel actions including, but not limited to: light duty transfers, family and/or medical leave, military leave, and pay supplements Supports management efforts to reduce overtime and create scheduling efficiencies through overtime trend analysis Prepares and executes daily and monthly reporting to ensure department staffing and scheduling within law enforcement and human resources guidelines Collects, compiles, analyzes, and reports information related to the staffing and logistics of the department including, but not limited to: staffing availability trends, time tracking, overtime, monthly assignment transfers and quarterly assignment bids Performs other related work as required. Minimum Requirements A minimum of 60 college credits and two (2) years experience in operations analysis or personnel staffing logistics. Previous experience with Oracle, Kronos Workforce and Tele. Staff is preferred. OR Equivalent combination of education and experience beyond a high school diploma or its equivalent and two (2) years of the required experience. If the degree/diploma does not reflect the academic major on its face, official transcripts indicating degree completion and academic major must also be submitted. Audit reports and academic reports are not accepted in lieu of college transcripts. To qualify under the equivalency clause, applicants must provide proof of education in one or more of the following applicable forms: high school diploma or equivalent, OR any higher accredited degree such as an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree. - Approved Credential Evaluation Agencies:Credential evaluation reports showing the United States equivalency for academic credentials earned in other countries may be provided by:An accredited four-year college or university in the United States, ORA current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), ORA current member of the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE), ORA recognized Professional Organization. For additional list of approved credential evaluation agencies visit the Florida Department of Education.
