Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Shift Lead to be based out of Tampa, FL. Reporting to Production Manager, the Team Lead will be responsible for leading and supervising the team; ensuring all activities during the shift are performed safely according to the Production schedule. Leading any troubleshooting of extrusion equipment, compounds, and processes. What you'll do: Team Lead's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Train, and develop crew members. Able to perform changeovers and start-ups of the lines on all products. Evaluate team members and provide coaching to identify areas for improvement and communicate it to the Production Manager. Fill out and encourage team members to fill out LSNI forms and provide training on how to complete it properly. Basic maintenance knowledge, ensure 5 s and housekeeping are maintained during all shifts. Act as Leader of the Shift with their team and communicate with the maintenance department in a timely manner when a changeover is needed. Print production orders, labels, and tag printing. Assist team members with technical issues and troubleshooting Ensure all operating procedures and PPE requirements are being followed. Participate in Lean Daily Manufacturing and 5 S activities and promotes the plant Lean culture. All other duties as assigned. What you'll bring: High School Diploma or equivalent Bilingual (preferred) Previous supervisory or management experience is required Microsoft Office skills Experienced with all tasks and duties of Material Handlers and Operators Possess strong written and verbal communication skills Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Possess excellent detail accuracy and organization skills Ability to read and use different measurement tools Forklift experience is strongly preferred Within 3 months, you'll: Complete any required training. Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role. Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
