Operate the resaw to cut boards that do not meet specifications into boards of lesser thickness or width according to work orders in a safe and productive manner. Observe lumber on conveyors as it approaches the saw to determine the appropriate cut to be made. Select the correct saw settings for thickness, width, and infeed roll speed. Monitor the automatic feeding of lumber into the saw and manually guide the end of the lumber into feed rolls when necessary. Change saw blades and guides daily to maintain safe and efficient operation. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. 30-60 days of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
