Lead Stores Analyst, you will play an important role in developing and supporting data and analytical needs related to capabilities in our stores. You’ll be working in a dynamic and challenging environment where new technologies are deployed constantly, and processes are evolving quickly as these operations mature. Here, you’ll leverage data, statistics, and visualization to create actionable insights that deliver value across all Target functions. Our savvy reporting and analytics pros use market-leading tools and data automation to make a positive impact that’s felt across the business. You’ll be part of a team of analysts supporting Stores through active exploration of data, technologies and the application of mathematical techniques that enables actionable business insights to include the development of metrics, reports and statistics. A very critical role you’ll play is sharing out these insights through training/communication opportunities with end users to gather feedback, apply learned insights and testing in partnership with business users. Along the way you’ll be applying best practices for data wrangling, analysis and visualization by sharing well documented solutions with others (clients, peers, etc.) while upskilling on new and emerging technologies with a continuous improvement mindset. In addition, active participation in team meetings and contributing to agile ceremonies. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and implement metrics, reports, visualizations, and statistical analyses to support business objectives. Collaborate with business partners to understand their needs and translate them into analytical solutions. Design, execute, and document data analyses and coding projects while adhering to data management principles and best practices. Apply the scientific method to design tests, conduct experiments, and generate actionable insights from observational data. Build and maintain robust database architectures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. Stay up-to-date with new and evolving technologies, incorporating them into workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy. Provide training and guidance to team members and stakeholders on reporting tools, data visualization, and analytical best practices. Understand dependencies within Business Intelligence (BI) systems and ensure seamless integration across tools and platforms. Partner with Store Operations and other domain teams to enhance processes and support decision-making through data-driven insights. About you:4-year degree in Quantitative disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent experience 5 plus years of experience in data visualization, Python programming and statistical analysis. Proven track record in developing metrics, reports, and visualizations while documenting code and adhering to best practices in data management. Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar tools. Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent tools. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to present complex data insights clearly and effectively. Ability to learn, teach, and apply advanced reporting and analytical tools and methodologies. Demonstrated experience with Store Processes and domain expertise is a plus. Ability to mentor data analysts and help establish BI standards, architecture patterns and best practices. This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. A Hybrid/ Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
