Managed Care Contract Senior Analyst

The Senior Managed Care Contract Analyst is responsible for all aspects of analytics, negotiations, and relationship management related to payer contracts. This role leads complex data mining and financial analyses to support senior leadership, including evaluating and summarizing financial trends and impacts across the Hospital, Physicians’ Organization, and Pediatric Physicians’ Organization at Children’s Hospital. The analyst partners closely with leadership to support contract strategy, reimbursement optimization, and organizational decision making. Key responsibilities. Lead complex financial modeling and data analysis to support managed care reporting and contract negotiations. Perform detailed analyses of commercial and government payer contract performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Summarize financial impacts and present findings, recommendations, and contract strategies to senior leadership and executive management. Coordinate with departmental analysts to develop and present comprehensive contract terms, including rate sheets and contractual language. Evaluate reimbursement methodologies and support negotiation strategy with data driven insights. Oversee development of auditing schedules, tracking mechanisms, and revenue recovery efforts including rebilling and settlement opportunities. Maintain and update managed care contract systems, ensuring accurate configuration and modeling of payer agreements. Collaborate cross functionally with finance, clinical, and operational teams to improve payment accuracy and processes. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, including reviewing work and supporting development. Conduct ad hoc analyses and reporting to support organizational priorities. Minimum qualifications. Education. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required. Experience. Minimum of 3 years of financial analysis experience in a healthcare setting required. Highly preferred. Strong analytical background, ideally within healthcare. Experience pulling data from Epic and translating insights for operational teams. Payer experience, including working with insurance contracts. Experience with pricing analysis, including evaluating the impact of price changes on insurance reimbursement. Knowledge of payer contracts, reimbursement structures, and authorization and coverage policies. Schedule. Full time, standard business hours.
