We are looking for a Yard Supervisor to lead all yard operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory handling, product movement, and yard organization. This role provides daily leadership to the Yard team, ensuring safe work practices, efficient loading and unloading, proper equipment use, and accurate inventory management. The Yard Supervisor also oversees yard housekeeping, vehicle maintenance schedules, departmental training, and labor efficiency. This position requires flexibility to work 40 hours per week, including weekends as needed, and reports directly to the Yard or Plant Manager. Key Responsibilities. Maintain strict compliance with PPE and support a safe working environment. Communicate unsafe conditions, incidents, or injuries immediately to the Plant Manager. Facilitate departmental communication and meetings. Conduct cycle counts and support inventory accuracy. Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and scheduling for forklifts and yard vehicles. Manage yard housekeeping, organization, layout, and product rotation. Coordinate DOT stock lots and confirm customer orders (AS - Ns). Conduct finished goods quality inspections. Organize daily loading sequences and ensure maximized payloads. Minimize loading errors, overtime, and inefficiencies. Manage CP - Us, RM - As, product conversions, and departmental administrative tasks. Communicate regularly with the Freight Manager on shipping and receiving issues. Oversee departmental training, certification programs, and team performance. Demonstrate and reinforce ADS Core Values. Qualifications. High School Diploma or equivalent .-5 years of experience as an ADS Yard Loader (preferred). Supervisory experience (preferred). Ability to repeatedly lift 75 lbs to a height of 6 feet. Ability to stand and move for a minimum of 8 consecutive hours. Ability to work in varying temperature conditions for extended periods. Ability to use hands, arms, and legs to handle and transport products. Ability to twist, bend, reach, squat, and mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles. Skills & Competencies. Strong leadership and professionalism. Knowledge of inventory procedures and operating systems. Effective communication and training abilities. Time management and organizational skills. Basic computer proficiency. Knowledge of ADS products. Forklift and OTR vehicle operation skills. Experience in freight management, receiving procedures, and inventory control. Mathematical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of local shipping regulations.
